The Mayhem Company creates work with and opportunities for both young and professional artists. We are hosted by SE1 United at Spirit Level, Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre, and following the success of our recent play BEAUTIFUL BLOWS – a story of lost love and lost titles pulled from the heart of London's boxing world – are currently working on a new piece that seeks to explore how and why riots took place in London earlier this summer.
THE RIOT ACT features scenes based on interviews conducted with young people involved in the riots, shopkeepers, politicians, the Police Chief Inspector of Islington, teachers and youth workers, this short performance piece will take place on 9th and 10th January 2012 in Blue Room, Spirit Level, Royal Festival Hall at 7.30pm.
