Are you a young artist? Mayhem cast company members with professional actors in all our productions.
The Mayhem Company (TMC): If you are between 16 and 25 you get the opportunity to join TMC and as a member will:
- Meet on a weekly basis at the Spirit Level (Royal Festival Hall) and develop your personal and technical skills through voice, physical movement and improvisation work.
- Push your personal and professional expectations through collaborating with professional writers, directors, choreographers, set, costume, lighting and sound designers.
- Produce work that confronts and challenges assumptions we have about the world and it has about us.
- Perform in established venues to the public.


Previous work includes: Family Matters with Present Tense: MAYHEM (Royal Festival Hall), Real Life Sex Makes Baby (Royal Festival Hall), The Butterfly Club an exploration of the recent deaths of young people in Bridgend, Wales (Southwark Playhouse), See You Tomorrow our response to one of our former members decision to join the British Army and serve in Iraq (Southwark Playhouse) and Deluxe the story of a fatal shooting in a Southwark School (Southwark Playhouse).
Mayhem Youth Theatre (MYT): If you are between 12 and 16 you get the opportunity to join MYT and as a member will:
- Meet on a weekly basis to develop your self-confidence and acting skills.
- Work with professional theatre artists to collaborate, devise, write and perform work.
- Act, write, direct, design and choreograph.
- Create work that seeks to explore and understand who we are and the world in which we live.
- Perform your work to friends, family and the general public in established venues.
Previous work includes: 100° Fahrenheit the study of corruption in the Black religious community (Southwark Playhouse) and Hamelyn Heights an urban fairy tale (Young Vic Studio).

Entry Requirements for TMC & MYT: curiosity, commitment and an interest in live performance. Parent/Carer consent required for under 16s . No Fee.
We are currently running Mayhem Youth Theatres on:
Mondays: MAYHEM N15 - Bernie Grant Centre - Tottenham N17 between 5.00 and 7.00pm
Tuesdays: MAYHEM SE1 - Violet Room, Spirit Level, Royal Festival Hall between 4.30 and 6.30pm
Thursdays: MAYHEM SE22 - Dog Kennel Hill Adventure Playground, East Dulwich 6.00 – 7.30pm
