Are you interested in developing your skills as a young writer?
We are delighted to announce the start of a young writers group meeting the first Friday of every month in Violet Room, Spirit Level, Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre 7.30-9.30 working in collaboration with SE1 United. You will get the opportunity to:
- Explore and develop different forms of writing including reviewing, performance poerty, and script writing.
- Work with your peers to share and develop work.
- Be mentored by professionals working in your chosen field. Both SE1 United and Mayhem have close links with the artists in residence at Southbank, along with journalists and playwrights.
- Attend performances and events that you are interested in
- Work with one of MAYHEM performance companys to initially workshop ideas and then perform them as and when the script is ready
- Present your work in a public forum either through publication or performance
